織〼 ORIMASS
“ORIMASS” is an iconic work that represents our very origins.
It features three washi paper crafts arranged within a masu box, with the blank space in the upper right corner reflecting the “beauty of emptiness.”
The name carries multiple meanings: Orimasu as a blend of origami and masu; orimasu as “to be present, gently by your side”; and ORIGINAL + MASS = ORIMASS, a work imbued with creativity and individuality.
The small space woven by washi paper and masu is a world of beauty where playfulness and tranquility coexist. Each fold holds creativity and individuality, gently nestling into your heart.
縁-えにし ENISHI
Housed within the “ORIMASS” piece is “Enishi,” a cube-shaped washi paper craft. No two pieces are ever the same, offering the joy of finding one that is uniquely your own.
“Enishi” is a word representing encounters, connections, and bonds between people. We have infused this sentiment into five motifs.
YUI – 結
Like the tightly bound Awaji knot of MIZUHIKI that never comes undone, it embodies the wish to unite people, hearts, joys, and good relationships.
SAKURA – 桜
A symbol of both fleetingness and splendor, the cherry blossoms burst into bloom with the arrival of spring in Japan. This motif represents the Japanese appreciation for the beautiful, transient moments in life.
TSURU – 鶴
The folded crane represents prayers for longevity, health, and peace—each one soaring skyward with hope and wishes.
FUJI – 富士
Mount Fuji, the majestic symbol of Japan, conveys aspirations for enduring prosperity and auspicious fortune.
CHIGO – 稚児
In its adorable shape, express the warmth and bonds shared with family and cherished ones.
珠 TAMA
“TAMA” is an exclusive piece, reserved only for our highest-grade work, the “ORIMASS – Kyogoku.“
The “Tama” emits a complex, ethereal radiance from layers of folded Japanese paper. The character “珠” denotes pearls and precious gems, symbolizing rarity and high value. Its spherical form embodies harmony and completeness, while the shine of crystal glass carries wishes for dreams fulfilled.
縁-ゆかり YUKARI
This piece is a small washi paper box containing an aroma stone shaped like a WAGASHI-traditional Japanese sweet. We created it with the wish that you can forever feel the joy of seeing something that looks delicious. We carefully crafted this piece to be so adorable that it makes you want to eat.
いろは IROHA
Iroha is a calligraphy work presented as a scroll covered with elegant Yuzen washi, adorned with bold brushstrokes of SUMI ink. At the shop, each scroll conveys ways to enjoy sake, blending traditional calligraphic art with sake culture into a piece that can be appreciated both visually and intellectually. We put our heart into crafting each scroll, hoping to make this traditional format more accessible to people who might not typically handle one. This piece also serves as a unique interior accent or a thoughtful gift for a sake enthusiast.
色紙 SHIKISHI
Shikishi are small calligraphy boards on which words expressing the spirit of Japan—such as Wa (harmony), Kotobuki (longevity), Kansha (gratitude), Yume (dream), or En (bond)—are inscribed with SUMI ink. Customers may also request their own chosen character. At the shop, the date is added on the spot, making each piece a memorable keepsake of one’s journey.
The delicate nuances of the brushstrokes and the unique texture of the washi paper ensure that no two pieces are ever the same. When we write a character requested by a customer, it becomes a truly special, once-in-a-lifetime experience for both you and us.
よひのあかり YOI NO AKARI
YOI NO AKARI is a collection of candles created to accompany the quiet moments of dusk. We intentionally chose not to add any fragrance, allowing you to fully enjoy the pure beauty of the flame and the clean, natural texture of the hinoki masu (cypress masu box). The name itself carries multiple meanings like “glow” in English: it‘s “a light lit at dusk (宵YOI)” “a light that celebrates a good day (良いYOI),” and “a light to savor with the gentle sway of Sake (酔いYOI). “
This collection merges the Japanese aesthetic of appreciating the passage of time with the expressive colors of light. It reflects the transition from the beginning of the evening, through the festive peak of gatherings, to the quiet serenity of late night.
SHIZUKU – 雫 – The Beginning of Evening
A pure, tranquil light, like a single drop falling into the fading sky. It expresses the beauty that breathes between day and night, modeled after refined sake.
KIRAMEKI – 煌 – The Splendor of a Feast
A bright, sparkling glow in the midst of the evening, reflecting the joy and liveliness of gatherings. It celebrates the happiness of those together, expressed through the imagery of celebratory sake.
KASUMI – 霞 – The Stillness of Late Night
A soft, white light like the mist that envelops the night. It’s an expression of the tranquil, reflective time at the end of the day, as if enjoying the stillness and quiet with a glass of cloudy sake.
